CANDIDATE OF THE WEEK: MORTEN GADE CHRISTENSEN

Meet this week’s top board candidate, Morten Gade Christensen — an award-winning technology leader with deep experience in IT governance, digital transformation and enterprise risk across energy, finance and industrial sectors. Morten is currently the Group CIO at Bunker Holding A/S, where he leads group-wide IT strategy, digitalisation, cybersecurity and operational resilience in a highly global environment.

He also serves as Board Member at Fuelink, contributing active board-level oversight.Previously, Morten held senior CIO and EVP roles at Energinet, operating at the core of Denmark’s critical infrastructure. His career combines executive leadership with board and committee roles, including Vice Chairman of the Danish EnergyCERT, Chairman Of The Board at HEIMDALL and Audit Committee Member at Joint Allocation Office (JAO SA).

His leadership has been recognised internationally as European CIO of the Year (2019) and nationally as Danish CIO of the Year (2016).
